We both are from Nickerie, in the west of Suriname, hence the name Westgroup. Studied and lived in the Netherlands and moved to Suriname 20 years ago, as we followed our heart. Suriname is a beautiful country and we wanted to help our country in growing and developing. We’ve both worked for different multinationals in the Caribbean and Suriname and have a very broad network. Our mission is to bring Suriname to the next level by providing excellent customer experience and cutting edge services.

About Suriname
Our country is located on the northern coast of South America. Suriname is one of the smallest countries in South America, yet its population is one of the most ethnically diverse in the region. Its economy is dependent on its extensive supply of natural resources, most notably gold and oil and gas. The southern four-fifths of the country is almost entirely covered with pristine tropical rainforest.
Suriname, formerly known as Dutch Guiana, was a colony of the Netherlands that gained its independence on November 25, 1975.
One of the reasons why Suriname is such a great country is because of our cultural diversity.
